It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bridget Hoyles announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the age of 76 years. She leaves to mourn with fond & loving memories, her children: Trudy (Darryl & Tamara) of Corner Brook, Lorie (Loren) of Little Harbour, and Wade (Karla) of Corner Brook; her grandchildren: Eric and Heather; her close friend Cathy Hoyles (mother of Eric and Heather); her brothers and sisters: Mary (Nick) of McEachren, NS, Kathryn (Dave) Gillett of Stephenville, Phyllis (Gerald) Hall of Loch Leven, Lorraine Shears of St. John’s, Bernice (Allen) MacDonald of Heatherton, Gerard (Mavis) Gillis of NS, Patricia Loney of Heatherton, Peter Gillis of NS, Stan (Tammy) Gillis of NS, Kevin (Paulette) Gillis of NS; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bridget was predeceased by her husband Wilfred (Hackie) and her parents: John & Ann Gillis. At Bridget’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation for family and friends will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday, June 21, 2019 from the hours of 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 10 am with Father Mathew officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted and/or memorial donations can be made to the Daffodil Place. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Dunn, Dr. Laferty, and the nurses and staff of 4A and the palliative care unit for their care and compassion through this difficult time.
