We regret to announce the passing of Bernie Donovan, age 58, on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Halifax on August 17, 1960, Bernie was the son of Jane and the late Bernie Donovan.
He worked in the entertainment industry for many years. He enjoyed his job; it was his favourite thing.
Bernie is survived by his mother Jane Donovan, and his children Shane and Jessica. Also left to mourn are his brothers and sisters; Lorraine, Pam, Guy, Crystal and Tania. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Bernie was a very funny, outgoing, kind-hearted person who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursed on 4B, Palliative Care, for all the care and compassion given to Bernie.
Visitation for Bernie Donovan will take place on Monday, June 17, 2019, from 2-2:45 in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. A prayer service celebrating his life will be held at 2:45 in the funeral home. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
