It is with profound sadness that the family of Alvetta Marie (Robichaud, Losier) Keary announces her unexpected passing on June 19th, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Alvetta was born in Tracadie-Sheila New Brunswick on August 3rd, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Emelda and Antoine Robichaud.
A loving tribute to a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Alvetta was a woman of boundless energy, she believed intensely in the importance of a loving atmosphere for her family. She loved being surrounded by family and friends. She loved being in nature, listening to music and being surrounded by angels and butterflies. She loved cooking, knitting, crocheting, dancing and creating gifts that she lovingly shared with others. She was strong and faithful and our biggest cheerleader. Alvetta was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. As her health declined, she was comforted by her faith in God.
Besides her loving and devoted husband Charlie of 43 years, she is survived by her son Denis (Vanessa) Losier of Saint John; daughters Rachelle Losier of Saint John, Debra (Andrew) Hamilton of St. Andrews; her grandchildren Gerard, Gage, Ben, Payton and Owen; her great-grandchildren Cole, Annabelle and Isabelle; her brothers Orville Robichaud (Shirley) of Prince Edward Island, Roderick Robichaud of Saint John, sisters Antonia Finnigan of Ontario, Edna (Eric) Doucet of Saint John, Noella (Leo Paul) Noel of Saint John, Denise (Jean Paul) Noel of Bathurst, Carmelle Leger of Tracadie, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her late husband Gerard Losier, brothers Jack and Patrick Robichaud and sister Barbara Robichaud.
‘Alvetta, you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for us, for teaching us, listening to us, helping and forgiving us, loving us, and always paving the way for us. We will work hard to reach the standard you set. Farewell sweet angel. You were magnificent.’
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Sunday, June 23rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Monday, June 24th at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
