1937-2019
ROSE, ALBERT
Albert Rose went to heaven on June 24, 2019 at the age of 81. He
leaves behind an adoring family, including his sisters Jessie (Tom),
Ruth (Delbert), Lillian (Hedley), and Mae (Tom) and his brothers Jim
(Janice) and Dave (June), his children Ron (Flo) and Judy (Rick), his
grandchildren Jeff, Kara, Mark, Mallory, and Meagan, and his great
grandson Bright. Waiting for him in heaven are his parents Lillian and
James, his brother Ed (Helen), and his sister Mildred (Bill). Albert
Rose was a good man. He knew that family was the most important thing
in life — and hockey was a close second. He loved and admired his
parents. He adored his eight brothers and sisters and their children.
He was unconditionally devoted to his two children and enormously
proud of his grandchildren. He taught those around him the things you
might expect from a man of his generation — respect, hard work,
and the importance of doing the right thing. But he was ahead of his
time in his compassion, understanding, and generosity. He was both
tough and tender, outspoken and kind. He worked hard and loved deeply
his whole life. What more is there to do? Rest now, Ab. We will go on
loving you. Visitation will take place at Corbett Funeral Home, 95
Dundas Street in Cambridge on Thursday, June 27th from 6-8pm and
Friday, June 28th from 1-2pm. A service will take place on Friday at
2pm, followed by interment at Mount View Cemetery, and a reception to
follow.
