DEVEAU, William T. – Age 79, of Lake Doucette, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Lake Doucette, he was a son of the late P. Martin and M. Jeanne (Saulnier) Deveau. William was a construction worker during most of his working life. He loved the outdoors and was very meticulous when it came to his fire wood and his vegetable garden. He was a Third Degree Knights of Columbus, Conseil Sigogne 6348, Comeauville. He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis; stepchildren, Paul (Karen) McCauley, Mayflower; Darlene (Gary) Giles, Wellington; brother, Emile (Corinne), Scarborough, Ontario; step-grandsons, Michael and Ryan; niece, Margaret Ann; nephews, Craig and David. He was predeceased by his brothers, George and Leo; nephew, Paul. Visitations will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 3, in Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from Stella Maris Church, Meteghan, with Rev. Wieslaw Papuga officiating. Burial will follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Salmon River.
