1938-2019
George Weyman McCarty of Arthurette, NB, took his final breath at
Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph Hospital on the morning of May 16, 2019.
Born in Arthurette, NB, on October 24, 1938, he was the son of the
late Barney and Isabel (Wright) McCarty. Weyman is survived by his
children, Candace (Bill) McCauley and their son Riley of Hamilton,
Ontario, Lisa (Myra) McCarty and her son Dustin of Grand Falls, Kevin
(Jennifer) McCarty and their children Aidan, Finn and Ava of Calgary,
Alberta; his brothers Harvey and Norman McCarty of Odell, NB; and
several nieces and nephews. Weyman was predeceased by his parents, his
half-brother Ronald Wright and the mother of his children, Wanda
McCarty.
Weyman lived his entire life in Arthurette, NB. He worked for Fraser’s
in Plaster Rock, NB for over 45 years. He was an outdoorsman. He loved
to fish, pick fiddleheads, and go four wheeling with friends. He also
made lots of pickles for his out of province family. He especially
loved the Boston Red Sox. He was well known and will be missed by
many.
Respecting Weyman’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral
service held.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Josh O’Hagan and especially the nursing
staff for their above and beyond care shown to Weyman.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
