Gloria Kathleen (White) Lewis left this world peacefully Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Victoria General surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Woodside, Dartmouth, N.S. She is survived by her sister Mary White and predeceased by 10 siblings. She was an employee for Eaton’s Center in her younger years, she also resided at the Sister’s of Charity for some time before she met her soon to be husband Philip becoming a mother of five. Gloria was very active in the sports community, playing baseball, bowling and enrolled with the Banook Rowing team. Later she became a coach of the Eastern Passage girls softball team; never losing the passion of baseball. All who knew her knows this to be true. She will be forever loved and missed by many, but not near as much as the love and heartache that pours from her children during this time of grievous loss of a mother and loved one. Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband Philip Joseph Lewis. Devoted mother of Edward ~ wife Judi, Lisa~ husband Paul, Colleen~ husband Larry, Patricia and Monica~ partner Greg; grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Jared, Jordan, Gloria, Victoria, Jake and Brett. Great Grandmum of Liam, Brooklynn, Violet, Jacob, Ciaran and Maisie. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 21st from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen Street, Dartmouth. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, May 22 at 10:00 a.m at the Immaculate Conception Church, 339 Pleasant Street, Dartmouth. Burial will be in St. Andrews Cemetery.
