Obituary of Phil Jones
Jones: Peter PHILIP – A resident of Tupperville, Philip passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday May 18, 2019, at the age of 61.
Born in Pontypool, Wales, Phil was the son of Peter and Doreen (nee Cobbing) Jones.
Beloved partner and recent husband of Kim (nee Carr).
Loving father of Joshua (Stephanie); Nathan (Julianna); and Sarah (Matt) and his son Slade. Dear step-father of Chelsea Ross (Michael).
Brother of Dawn Hinnegan and Heather (Hugh) Wilson.
Brother-in-law of Kevin (Jacquie) Carr.
Son-in-law of Doreen (Norman) Bear and the late William Carr.
Will be also missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Predeceased by his brother Melvin Jones.
Phil founded Securacomm, Advanced Lock, and Jones Limo. He also worked at and made many lifelong friends at Wheels Inn and Chatham Taxi. He was a member of the Blenheim Christian Reformed Church.
Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park St. Blenheim, on Wednesday May 22, 2019 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service and Reception will be held on Thursday May 23, at 11am at the Glad Tidings Community Church, 403 Chatham St. South, Blenheim. Burial will follow in the Alvinston Cemetery, 2879 Cameron Rd., Alvinston.
