Obituary of Michael Collier
It is with great sadness that the families of Michael (Mick) Collier (of John) announce his sudden passing at the Carbonear General Hospital, in Carbonear, NL, on Monday, May 20, 2019 at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his two sons: Allan (Beulah) and Bradley (Krista) of Paradise, NL and four grandchildren: Micaela, Nicholas, Brianna and Brady; sister in law: Nadie Collier, Pollard’s Point, NL. Michael was predeceased by his wife: Anne; parents John and Frances nee McDonald; his siblings Cecelia Snook (Tom), Bridget Rogers (Baxter), Veronica Drew (George), Hubert, Samuel (Mary), Bartholomew and John. He leaves to mourn two other important people in his life, his caretakers, Mag Organ and Rose Organ as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family & friends. Our special gratitude to the staffs at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre and the Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion for the care given to our father over the past four months. Rosary will be held on Thursday at 3:00pm; Vigil on Thursday at 8:00pm. Funeral service will take place on Friday, May 24, 2019, at 10:30am with Father Patrick Osuji officiating with the burial to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in St. Alban’s.
