Obituary of Michael Galen Tremblay
Mike Tremblay
August 12, 1955 – May 27, 2019
After a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michael Galen Tremblay. Mike had his loving family by his side when he passed.
Mike held several different occupations, some of which included driving truck—freight and log, driving coach bus and school bus as well as being an electrician for over 30 years, spending most of that time at the pulp mill (Proctor & Gamble/Weyerhaeuser). Upon retirement Mike spent his days with his bovine girlfriends, feeding and calving and just enjoying life.
Mike was very active in the community. He spent several years riding with the Grande Prairie Gymkhana club, served for several years on the board of the Peace Country Agri classic and was active with the Peace Country Draft Horse Association and 4-H and was a 4H program leader for several years in the Grande Prairie 4H club. He loved horses and was an active trainer, breeder and riding teacher.
Mike will be sadly missed by his wife, Linda, son Cody, daughter Danica and granddaughter Freya. He is also survived by his siblings Lynette, Vern, Bev, Marlene, Dan, Rod, Linda and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his stepfather, Glen Wiebe, brother Blair and father Raoul Tremblay.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Beckman, Diagnostic Imaging staff Clarence, Home Care and Palliative Care.
Donations in memory of Mike may be made to a charity of your choice.
