1944-2019
Peacefully surrounded by his family, Jerald “Jerry” John
Farr passed away at Pinawa Hospital on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the age of 74.
He was predeceased by his parents John and Norma Farr of
Hamilton, ON and brother Brad Farr of Lions Head, ON.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Judy of 47 years,
his children Cynthia (Jorge), Robert, Patrick (Carol) and Toiny (Zee). He will be fondly remembered by his
grandchildren Jennifer Farr, Nico Farr, Amir Sayadi, Gazi Sayadi, Alicia Farr,
Isha Sayadi, Zachary Farr, Logan Farr, Noah Sayadi, Divya Farr, Aydin Sayadi
and great grandchild Maverick Farr. He
is also survived by his in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Jerry will be remembered for his love of boating on Lake of
the Woods, entertaining and cooking for guests.
He was a caring man with a unique sense of humour. Jerry was a dedicated Lions Member for over
30 years serving his community. There is
only one Jerry Farr.
Jerry was born and raised in Hamilton, ON. He then moved to Thompson, MB where he met
the love of his life, Judy. They started
their family there and moved to Pinawa in 1982, where they remain until today.
Jerry was a hardworking man.
He worked for INCO in Thompson for 15 years, then onto AECL in Pinawa
for 15 years and then off to work for Manitoba Hydro for 15 years until his
retirement at age 68.
Many thanks to Dr. Papetti and Dr. Bruneau for their absolute
excellent care.
A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held on Tuesday, May
28 at 10:00 a.m. at Pinawa Lutheran Church, 25 Massey Road, Pinawa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pinawa
Foundation, c/o The Lions Club.
