McDOWELL, James
Passed away suddenly at the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, May 20, 2019 in his 77th year. Loving son of the late Hazel and the late Tommy McDowell. Much loved cousin of Walter Mitchell (Eileen), Geodfrey Mitchell (Shirley), Derek Robb (Ruth) and Barbara Kunkel (William). He is survived by many cousins and family in England and Ireland. James was a Big Brother for over 40 years and will be deeply missed by Richard Gelder and Dr. Cameron Gelder. James worked for the Chamber of Commerce and formed the Junior Golf Tour. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, May 27, 2019 from 12 noon until the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ronald McDonald House would be greatly appreciated. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
