Elizabeth’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the families of Elizabeth Major nee Hynes announce her passing at her family residence in Pasadena, NL, on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019 at the age of 87 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories her children; Linda (Vergus), Mima (Ed), Irene (Mike), Philip (Linda), Bernard (Belinda), Mary (Owen), Clevis (Holly), Juanita (Dennis), Thelma (Terry), Dean (Joan), Leona (Jim), and Vernetta (Bob). Her 24 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, her siblings; Noreen, Hubert (Ursula), Eric (Marg), Joe (Sharon), Clarence (Nadalca), Melita (Junior), and Calvin (Alana), and her sister-in-law; Ann, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband; Clevis, son; Dean John, parents; Lawrence and Mary Hynes, sister; Geraldine Simon, brothers; Lester Hynes, and Mattie’s Hynes, sister; Delia Hinks, and brother-in-law; Frank Vincent. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends.
The family will be receiving family and friends at the Holy Rosary Parish, Roman Catholic Church in Pasadena, NL, on Thursday, May 9th, 2019 from the hours of 7-9 pm, and continuing on Friday, May 10th, 2019 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place from on Saturday, May 11th, 2019 at 10:30 am, with Father Patry officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery in Pasadena, NL.
