It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Jean Fahlman, beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Hilary Fahlman, her children Cheryl Fahlman, Valerie (Craig Jansen), Robert Fahlman (Diane), and Father Michael Fahlman, her grandchildren Angela (Graeme Walker), Lukas and Allison Jansen and, Nora and Emma Fahlman. Dorothy was born in Saskatoon on Sept. 5, 1942 to Malachi and Dorothy (nee Loran) Priel. She attended school in Saskatoon and graduated from Sion Academy. She attended and graduated from Teacher’s College and taught for two years in Edmonton. It was at that time that she met and soon married her husband, Hilary Fahlman. Together they lived in Edmonton, Washington State, Regina and finally settling in Prince Albert. Dorothy was a devoted mother and wife. She was gifted artistically, enjoying writing, painting and pottery. Additionally, her entrepreneurship led her to own and operate several businesses as well as partnering with her husband in more ventures. Dorothy’s open heart and kindness allowed her to touch the hearts of many she met. Her deep faith in God has carried her through good times and bad. She will live on in the hearts of all she touched. The Vigil of Prayer will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 7:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 2:00pm with Bishop Albert Thevenot celebrating. Both services will be held at the Sacred Heart Cathedral 1401- 4th Avenue West, Prince Albert, SK.
