Peacefully at University Hospital, London, on Sunday, May 19th, 2019, in her 84th year, Rita Jean Dermer, of London, and formerly of Greenfield Park, Quebec. Predeceased by her beloved husband Stephen Dermer (1993). Cherished mother of Cathy Hart (Bob), Lynn Dermer and Ann Dermer (Steve Lavovsky). Proud Grandmother of Cory Hart, Katie Lavovsky, Christina Lancaster (Peter) and Dimitri Lavovsky. Special GG to Hailey and Steven Lancaster. Loved and missed by many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Rita’s Life will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Rita are asked to consider the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada.

Lorraine and Jim HoultWe will miss Auntie Rita at all our family celebrations and of course the trips to the Casino over the years. I know she got a big kick out of taking mom’s Walker into the casinos after mom passed. Auntie Rita played a big role in our lives from the time we were children. She was always kind and welcomed us with open arms. Rest in Peace dear Auntie.
