Cynthia Eileen Sponagle
1929-2018
SPONAGLE, Cynthia Eileen,
formerly of Sherbrooke, Guysborough County passed away on Tuesday,
December 4th, 2018, at Shoreham Village in Chester. She was born in
Roachvale, Guysborough County on August 16th, 1929, a daughter of the
late James and Evelyn (Grant) Horton. She was an excellent seamstress
and worked for several years as a secretary. Cynthia is
survived by daughters, Lynn (Don) Sponagle of Port Mouton and Lori
(Stanley) Sponagle of Montreal; one brother, Cecil (Lucy) Horton of
North Sydney; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by
her husband, Malcolm Sponagle. There will be no visitation by request.
A memorial service will be held in the spring, with a location and
time to be announced. Interment will be in Waternish Cemetery. Family
flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to St. John’s
United Church, Sherbrooke or a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements
are under the dignified and compassionate care of G. W. Giffin Funeral

Funeral service will be held Friday, May
17th at 2 p.m. in St. John’s United Church, Sherbrooke. Interment to
follow in Waternish Cemetery.
