It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a beautiful woman, Carmela Benvenuto, who was taken to heaven in the arms of angels on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Loved wife and soul mate for 39 years of Lino Benvenuto. Proud and devoted Mom of Jordan (Madison). Carmela peacefully left this world to be reunited with her loving parents Ermando and Anastasia De Iuliis, and our precious baby Angelica. Much loved daughter-in-law of Elda and the late Rocco Benvenuto. Cherished sister of Italo Matt De Iuliis (Vittoria), and sister-in-law of Ron Benvenuto (Christine). Treasured Auntie to Vanessa (Rob), Brandon, and Andrea (Danny). Adored ZiZi of Adam and Cassandra. Forever in the hearts of her loving family and many friends. We are eternally grateful for the love and support of many, especially Zia Bettina who was like a second mother. Carmela will be remembered for many things, especially for her incredible resilience, perseverance, love of life and her spirit that never stopped fighting. She was and always will be an inspiration to all who knew her. A heartfelt thank you to Dr.Tozer, Dr.Kandilis and the wonderful staff at Juravinski and St. Peter’s Hospitals for their care and compassion. A special thank you to Cindy Zhang, who provided Carmela with emotional support, guidance and friendship throughout her journey. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East HAMILTON (905-574-0405) on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Carmela would always say,
“I’ve been truly blessed with wonderful family and friends.
I’ve had a beautiful life.”
But it was all of us who were truly blessed, for having Carm in our lives.
