Alexander Myskiw

Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alex—our brother, our partner, our friend, and some knew him as “pops” (and “grandpa” to Miss Violet). Alex was predeceased by his mother Tekla, father John and step mother Katie, brother Peter (Jean), a sister in infancy, two aunts: Anne Panchuk and Jenny Hook, uncles: James Myskiw, Mike Myskiw, Pete Panchuk, John Hook of Ontario, and other aunts and uncles on Alex’s mother’s side.
Alex leaves to cherish his memory his partner Laurette, brothers: Bill (Evelyn), Robert (Joyce—recently deceased), Harry (Sharon), and one sister Victoria (Leonard), as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, not to mention numerous others who had the privilege of knowing him. Alex was a hardworking man who’s life revolved mostly around the operation of a grader, working for Natural Resources, BACM, Querrel Construction and Jim McLeod and the RM of Piney just to name a few.
Anyone who knew Alex saw a man with a great smile, a head full of silver hair, cowboy boots, and a personality filled with humor, love, compassion and friendship. He was a man of great empathy and selflessness. Alex was also quite the carpenter, building, re-modeling and fixing different homes, and other projects that he set his mind to. If you knew him you never saw him sit still too often. Even if someone else was doing something, Alex made his suggestions on how to do it and would probably take over to show you how it’s done because not much met his standards.
Alex had a history of cardiac problems and in the end these issues claimed our brother and friend. He will live on in our minds and hearts forever.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial will occur at a later date.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Alexander Myskiw July 12 1942 May 24 2019..
