William Wellington Doreen (Possum)
September 23, 1932-April 17, 2019
William Wellington Doreen passed away peacefully at Lennox & Addington County General Hospital on Wednesday April 17th at the age of 86 surrounded by his family and friends. Son of the late James Doreen and Nellie Mae Green. Predeceased by his wife Mary Ellen Doreen (nee Sweet). Cherished father of the late Steven Doreen (Debra), Bill Doreen, Brian Doreen, and Beverly McDonald (John). Treasured grandfather of Adam, Jason, Jennifer, Erin, Kyle and great grandchildren. Brother of Shirley Reid, and predeceased by his siblings Verna Boomhour, Victor Doreen and Jean Dawe.
William was a loving father, grandfather and friend to many. He spent his career working as a tool and dye maker in Toronto before eventually settling along the Bay of Quinte. William was a south paw who enjoyed baseball, a good book, and taking in the views overlooking the water each day. William’s closest family and friends will remember him as a humble and generous soul with an impeccable memory, an occasional sweet tooth, and a witty sense of humour. He laughed often and one of his greatest enjoyments in life was spending time with those he loved. William will be greatly missed, and will live on in the hearts of many.

William never wanted to be the centre of attention and out of respect for these wishes, there will be no service. All are invited to celebrate his memory in their own way.
