JOHNSTON, Roy William 1949-2019
Roy passed away peacefully at the Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital on April 18th. He is survived by his loving wife Cynthia, his daughters, Amy Johnston, Heather Benson,and Jessica Johnston, his grandchildren Katherine, Zoey, James and Alaric. His quick wit and smile will be missed by all and will be fondly remembered by his brothers – Norman, Rusty, Harry, Fred, Alex and Doug and sister Louise Weir and the many nieces, nephew, aunts and uncles and great-nieces and great-nephews that were part of his life. Roy brought laughter and friendship to so many people throughout his lifetime.Arrangements entrusted to the DeStefano Funeral Home. He asked for a simple celebration where his family and friends could come together in remembrance. Roy was a long-standing member of the Whitby Legion Branch #112 and we invite you to join us there to celebrate his life on Monday, April 29th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a brief service beginning at 1:30 p.m. Online condolences can be posted at destefanofuneralhomes.ca.
