Marie Elizabeth Carroll (Daley)of Miramichi, NB wife of the late Howard Carroll passed away suddenly at her residence on Saturday April 13, 2019 at the age of 86. Born in St Margaret’s, NB she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Kathleen (Fraser) Daley.
Marie was an excellent cook, seamstress and skillful at any task she undertook. She was a Brownie Leader, small business owner, an avid Bingo blitz player on her computer and a member of St Michael’s Basilica. She is survived by her sisters Stella McIntyre and Kay Flanagan of Saint John, NB, her sons Brian (Sandra), Jack (Donna), Richard, Robert (Frances), Howie (Anne), daughters Kathy (Michael) Connell, Peggy, Debbie MacDonald, Marilyn (Kevin) Harris, Joan (Willie), Stella Preston, 19 Grandchildren and 19 Great grandchildren. Brother in law Blair Carroll (Thelma) sisters in law Symone Daley and Helen Carroll (Edward).
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband, their children Michael and Marilee, brother William (Billy) and sister Geraldine Flynn.
At her request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at St Michael’s Basilica with Fr Paul Doucet officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can St Michael’s Basilica capital fund, St Michael’s cemetery fund or the charity of donor’s choice.
