BRAULT, Lesa Helen (nee Ferguson), born March 12th, 1962 in Campbellford, Ontario to the late Doreen Abell (Ferguson) & Douglas Ferguson. Lesa moved to Peterborough at the age of 12 where she later on met her husband of 34 years, Doug Brault. Lesa enjoyed an active lifestyle and was involved with several sports teams, she was also very dedicated in attending her children’s sporting events. She welcomed her best friends Lucee & Katee (Basset Hounds) into their home 10 years ago and spent everyday with them and enjoyed their walks in Jacksons park and watching the Toronto Maple Leafs games on tv together. Lesa fought a courageous battle against cancer and left peacefully, surrounded by her family in her home April 16th. She will be missed immensely by her husband Doug, daughter Cecelee (Greg), sons Joshua (Erin) and Travis (Megan), Katee (Basset Hound), her sister Michelle Ferguson, brother-in-law Don Brault (Josie), sister’s-in-law Janet (Len), and Cindy (Greg), and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of life to be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, on Friday April 26th, 2019 from 5:00P.M. – 8:00P.M. The family would also like to thank the oncology team at Princess Margaret Hospital and Lakeridge Health, the volunteers with the Canadian Cancer Society, as well as her family doctor, Dr. Beamish who worked with the palliative care team to ensure that Lesa found peace at the end of her journey.
