Josephine Frances Ferguson
1931-2019
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jospehine
(Fahie) Ferguson, born March 17, 1931 who died peacefully at home on
April 1, 2019. She was the daughter of the late John and Etta (Doyle)
Fahie. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Benedict (Alex
Dowling), Lower Sackville; Judy (Darrell) Rozee, Greenwood; Pat
Ferguson (Stephen Palmer), Greenwood and her son Robert (Bonnie)
Ferguson, Falmouth, with whom she resided. She is also survived by her
grandchildren, Theresa (Elvin) Ramos and their son, Dmitry, Florida;
Cheryl (Eric) Stern and their children Sarina and Ella, Robbinsville,
New Jersey; Danielle Carey (Trevor Parkes), Greenwood; Megan (Mike)
Ronaldson and their children Makayla and Lyla, Victoria, BC; Tara
(Justin) Dorman and their children, Kelly, Alex and Grace, West
Brooklyn Road; William Carey (Marie Bragg) and son Chase, Greenwood
and Robbie (Emma deMan) Tantallon. She is also survived by siblings,
Frank (Donna Gault) Fahie, John Fahie, Wayne (Diane) Fahie, Terry
(Linda) Fahie, Ron (Janet) Fahie and Robert (the late Ruth) Fahie and
June (Fred) Greenwood. She also leaves to mourn many extended family
members. As well as her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Robert Ferguson; brother, Wallace (Phyllis) Fahie; sisters, Lorraine
(Patrick) Shannon, Edna (the late Bill) Sargent and Kaye Fahie.
Cremation has taken place. At Josephine’s request, there
will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A gathering of
family and friends to honour Josephine will be held this summer.
Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice. She
leaves a legacy of love, loyalty, faith, compassion and the importance
of family. We will all miss her very much. Arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
