Esther O’Brien

Passed peacefully away at Saint Luke’s Home on Sunday, March 31, 2019, Esther O’Brien (nee Ryan) age 85 years. Predeceased by her husband Edward O’Brien; parents Jerome and Elizabeth Ryan; brothers: Eddie, Gabe, Alban, Clem, Jim and Jerome; and her sister Nora. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Gussie, Eddie and Jerome (Nicole); daughter Monica (Doug); grandchildren: Shane, Calem, Angelena and Elise; great-grandchildren: Clara, Braeanne, Xavier and Alex; sister Regina Browne; brother Larry Ryan; special niece Tracy Kieley; and a large of circle of other family members and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. Sincere thanks to the staff of Saint Luke’s Home and Ruby Manor for the wonderful care and compassion provided to our Mom over the last few years. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road with visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 12 noon – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 2 p.m. from St. Joseph’s Church, Petty Harbour. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Petty Harbour. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
