Obituary of Elsie Gunn
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Saturday morning, April 13th, 2019. Elsie May Gunn (nee Binns), of Owen Sound, at the age of 92 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Roy Gunn (2010). Loving mother of Sharon Mackay and her husband, Thomas, of Mount Forest, Mary Lou Hilker, of Kitchener and Barbara Brown and her husband, Mike, of East Linton. Proud grandmother of nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Dorothy Routenburg, of Ancaster and Norman Binns (Margaret Farrow), of Kemble. Predeceased by her parents, James and Sarah Binns; her son-in-law, Larry Hilker (2001) her siblings, Mildred Rourke (Manley), Ellen Rosenburg (Percy), Cecil Binns (Agnes); her in-laws, Cliff Routenburg and Betty Mae Binns; her granddaughter-in-law, Leigh Brown.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street, West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Wednesday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Elsie Gunn will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 18th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Paula Classey officiating. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice as an expression of sympathy.
