Edward Weston « Ed » Atwell
1936-2019
Edward Weston « Ed » Atwell – age 83, of Wolfville,
passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019, in the Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville. Born in Greenfield, he was a son of the late
Harold and Mildred (MacInnis) Atwell. He had been employed as an
electrician and worked for HBM Mechanical for 43 years as an
electrical foreman. He was an avid horseman and member of the
Annapolis Valley Pony Club. He loved going for drives, gardening and
working in his apple orchard. Ed enjoyed meeting the good ole boys at
Tim Hortons. The family would like to thank everyone who
delivered him coffee from Tim’s. He is survived by daughter,
Linda (Jim) Lockhart, Avonport; sons, Brian Atwell and Graham (Sheron
Hatt) Atwell, both of Wolfville Ridge; half-brother, David Atwell,
Ontario; step-brother, Ernie Atwell, Wolfville Ridge; four
grandchildren, Angie Lockhart (Nick Zamora); Jenna Lockhart (Adrian
Lloy), both of Avonport; Tyler Atwell (Kristy Geddes), Airdrie,
Alberta; Brody Atwell (Patty Dauk), Calgary, Alberta, nine
great-grandchildren, Ben, Jesse, Jake, Ellie, Gunner, Jacie, Bryson,
Jessie, Jenaya; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his
wife, Elizabeth « Betty » (Morine); sisters, Shirley Fox,
Gladys Croft; step-sister, Nettie Atwell; brothers, Victor
« Vic », Starr and Blake; a sibling in infancy. Cremation has
taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A
funeral service, followed by reception, will take place at 11:00 a.m.
Friday, April 26, 2019 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville,
Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will take place in the
Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville. Donations in memory may be made to the
Wolfville Ridge Baptist Church or the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order
of Nurses. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White
Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
