Edward Gerald Molloy
May 25, 1942 – April 19, 2019
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, Ed Molloy, on Saturday, April 19, 2019 at the age of 76. Ed was predeceased by his wife (‘Kelly’) Mary (nee Lambert), daughter Kelly, parents Edward and Elizabeth Molloy, brother Maxwell, sisters Christina (Willie Kroon) and Delores. Leaving to mourn sons Edward (Erin) and Sean, grandchildren Stephane, Dorena, and Morgan, brother Kevin (Dawn), sisters Sister Mary and Patricia (Jack Walsh), sister in-laws Doreen (Joe Yetman), Genny (Cec Sooley) and Ann (Gary Smith) and many nieces and nephews. Ed was a passionate Catholic and spent over 50 years active in the Knights of Columbus, becoming a master of the 4th degree by the age of 35. Since his beloved wife ‘Kelly’ passed away in 2013, Ed spent the last 5 years of his life at North Pond Personal Care Home in Torbay, where he left his mark amongst many friends and staff members. Special thanks to the staff at North Pond Manor and compassionate doctors and nurses in 4A South at the Health Sciences Centre. Visitation on Tuesday April 23, 2019, 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Mass of Christian burial to take place on Wednesday April 24, 2019, at Saint Paul’s Church on Newfoundland Drive starting at 9:30 am. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honour to The Gathering Place or charity of your choice.
