Andrew « Andy » Mason
1956-2019
Mason, Andrew David … Passed away suddenly at his home in
Cambridge, on Sunday March 24, 2019, another victim of the
prescription opioid epidemic. We are all victims!
Andy is survived by his wife Heather; children Andrew (Erin), Melissa
(Norm), Lora (Ian), Alex and Philip; grandchildren Mason, Jemma, Jules
and Mila; siblings Robert (Susan) of Florida, the late Katherine, Jane
(Ron) of Edmonton, Peter (Marie) of Edmonton, Tim of Cambridge, Tom
(Michelle) of Cambridge, Philip of Thunder Bay and Mary Ann of
Halifax; also survived by his parents Robert and Mary Mason.
Before his final move to Cambridge, Andy made many friends while
living and attending school in the Windsor, St. Thomas, Rockton and
Cambridge areas, where he was quite active in hockey, football and
camping.
His brothers have fond memories of all the good times with Andy,
“crop dustin” as they described it, having fun, cruising
the back concessions on their way swimming or camping at places like
Clear Creek, Port Stanley and Long Point. Andy left a large hole in
everyone’s lives. We will miss him dearly.
