Vera Victoria Witiuk passed away peacefully on February 20, 2019, at the age of 92 years, after a brief illness.
Vera will be lovingly remembered by her close cousins, the Manchuks, Bill, Robert (Monica), Candace Thatcher (David), Cameron, Damien (Eva and baby Simona) and Williem. Vera will also be forever remembered by her dear friends Rita Johnson, Neve Stevens, Shannon S., Neil and Lilyon Lunty, Donna and Norm Paul, and Joanne and Robb Wynn. Vera was predeceased by her father John K. Witiuk (1958), sister Margaret Witiuk (1985), and mother Bessie Witiuk (Sycz) (1988).
Vera was a captivating and independent woman whose life adventures took her from
Lousana, Alberta, to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and then to Seattle, Washington. Her heart will always be in San Francisco, California where she settled in the early 1960’s and worked in professional relations for Blue Shield.
Vera lived a vibrant life taking great pleasure in the company of friends and travelling the world. Her light shone brightly and she will be remembered as a classy and glamorous lady.
