On March 12, 2019 Vera passed away at the age of 90, peacefully in her home with her children, niece and loyal four legged friend by her side.
Vera will be missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Cameron (Lorraine), Robert (Wendy) and Margaret Anne; as well as her sister, Velma; nieces and nephews and many dear neighbors and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas; sister, Teresa and sisters-in law, Isobel and Margaret.
Vera was a proud graduate of the Edmonton General Nursing School (1951), and maintained many close friendships with her fellow grads and co-workers throughout her life.
It is with sincere gratitude and appreciation, that we thank the Palliative Care staff and Marie Chantelle for the compassion, tenderness and care with dignity they provided, allowing Vera to remain in her home.
A very special thank-you to Dr. Tom Flanagan and his staff, not only for their support over the last year, but for many years of care, respect and laughs.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Noon, at St. Clare Catholic Church, 6310 – 118 Ave. NW, Edmonton.
