THACKERAY, Murray Eugene — Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital after a brief illness, March 8, 2019 in his 93th year. Beloved husband of Audrey (nee Brown) for over 70 years. Dear father of John (Nancy) of Roseneath and Nancy Longworth (Rick) of Ajax. Papa will be sadly missed by Bernadette (Kingsley), Christopher (Lindsay); Jeffrey (Kaitlyn), Sara (James), and his great grandchildren Jordan, Cassidy, Evelyn, Aubree, Tucker, Damian, and Ethan. Murray will be missed by all. Family and friends may gather at BRETT FUNERAL CHAPEL, HASTINGS from 6-8pm on Sunday, March 17, 2019 and from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Monday March 18, 2019 at ROSENEATH UNITED CHURCH, 11943 County Rd 24. A celebration of life will follow at 1:00pm, Reverend Jamie York officiating. Spring interment at Centenary Cemetery, Roseneath. In memory of Murray, donations may be made to Roseneath United Church.
