SHEA, Melvin “Lee”
Lee died peacefully, surrounded by his family, at The Pines in Bracebridge, on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Lee was 78 years old. Beloved husband of Dona (nee Colmer). Loving father of Greg (Anna) and Carolyn (Andrew). Proud grandfather of Hunter, Sydney, Elgin, Graydon, Edwin, Malcolm & Kallum. Dearest brother of Bill Shea. Son of the late Elgin & Lucy Shea.
Lee was born in Ufford on August 19, 1940. He was a school teacher at Bracebridge Public School for 34 years. Lee was a member of the Masonic Lodge – Muskoka Lodge 360 having served in many roles within the organization. Lee had a great love for the outdoors, making maple syrup, spending time at the cottage and especially spending time with his family.
Visitation will be held Reynolds Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. The funeral will be held at Bracebridge United Church on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held in the spring at the Ufford Cemetery.
To honour Lee’s memory, donations to Bracebridge United Church, South Muskoka Hospital Foundation or The Pines Activity Fund, have been suggested by the family.
