Obituary for Hilda Gertrude Fritz
Hilda Fritz (née Brock) age 91, passed away on Wednesday March 13th at Wentworth Lodge in Dundas.
Hilda was born in Hamilton on June 19, 1927 to Violet and Stanford Brock. Married for almost 60 years to Nicholas Fritz, a military man and civil servant, who predeceased Hilda in 2006; they spent many years traveling the world, the US, and Canada both for work and pleasure.
Hilda enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bingo and casino visits, but nothing topped a good game of cards, especially with her fun-loving brothers.
Hilda is survived by daughters Valdora Fellowes (Greg) of Dundas, and Nancy Tubbs (Eddie) of Vista, California; grandchildren Lauren Kowalski (Mike), Amanda and Daniel Tubbs; and great-grandchildren Sienna, Chloe, and Logan. Hilda remained close with the extended Brock families left behind by her three brothers, Harry, Raymond and Ronnie who no doubt are right now shuffling the cards and waiting on the other side to deal Hilda in on the next hand.
No services will be held. Cremation will be followed by interment at Bayview Cemetery.
