Lageer, Donald ‘Donnie’ after a short illness passed away at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital on Saturday March 9, 2019 surrounded by family and friends in his 84th year. Predeceased by his wife Doris (nee Cleary) in 2013, his father Russell Lageer and mother Myrle (nee Manning). Survived by his stepsons Orie (Judy) and Irvin (Louise) Johnston and their families. Cherished cousin of Roy (Sandra) Manning. Donnie will be missed by his many relatives and friends especially his feline friends Puggy and Tootes. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses Collingwood General & Marine Hospital / ICU for their care and compassion during his illness. Funeral service will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home – Creemore Chapel at 1 p.m. on Tuesday March 12, 2019 with visitation one hour prior. Spring interment at Creemore Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Salvation Army Hope Acres would be appreciated.
