It is with broken hearts and sadness the family of Amy Bourque announce her passing which occurred with her mom and dad at her side following a courageous battle with cancer on Monday March 25, 2019. Amy was born in Saint John on July 25, 1978 to Michael and Sally (Rodgers) Bourque of Baxters Corner. She was a free spirited soul, who loved spending time with family and friends. Amy worked for Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory at McAllister place for many years and for short time with Historica. She was kind and gentle and enjoyed the simple things in life, like the beauty of nature and long walks. Those who knew and loved her will miss her forever. Along with her mom & dad; Sally & Mike; Amy is survived by her children Thane Irving of Barnesville and Madison Murchison-Bourque of Saint John; brothers Danny Bourque (Amanda) of Saint John and Patrick Bourque of Elgin; sister Caitlin Smith (Matthew) of Saint John; nephew Nicholas, nieces Chantel and Rachel; grandmother Betty Rodgers of Saint John; companion Donnie Walker and his children Dustin & Cody; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Amy was predeceased by her precious son Marcus Patrick Finch, who passed away March of 2018; grandfather Russell Rodgers and grandparents Percy and Anne Bourque.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Friday March 29th, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. Donations in Amy’s memory can be made to Canadian Cancer Society or to the National Pancreatic Cancer Canada Research Foundation.
