Allen Edward Costello
May 19, 1942 to March 16, 2019
In loving memory of Allen Edward Costello (Al) who passed away Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at the age of 76 with his family at his side in the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Sheryl, his son Paul Costello and partner Rhonda Gardner, his grandchildren Tyler and Dani Costello, sister Oreen Brouillette of Dryden and sister-in-law and brother-in-law LaVerne and Joe Tibold of Emo Ontario, nieces Loreli (Rob) Caldwell, Joanne (Shawn) Spence of Fort Frances, nephew Mark (Sarah) Tiblod of Texas and Denyse (Bryan) Turpin of Dryden.
Al was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Alma Costello and his in-laws Verner and Alma Hafdahl, brother-in-law Henry Brouillette, niece Michelle Lupien and nephew Guy Brouillette.
Al was born and raised in Rainy River, Ontario. He moved to Fort Frances with his parents at the age of 17. This is where he met his wife Sheryl while going to high school.
Al decided school was not for him so he moved to Dryden where he was hired on at the Dryden Paper Mill in the shipping department. Al finished his career in the shipping department as Foreman and retired at the age of 58.
Al pursued different ventures doing odd jobs and building many beautiful wood creations. He loved being in the bush hunting or fishing at Nataway Falls North of Sioux Lookout where he and his friends built a cabin. Al was skilled and could make you anything of wood or steel, figuring everything out in his head rather than putting it down on paper. He was gifted using his many talents in his retirement pastimes creating many different and unique pieces of art.
Al enjoyed his life to the fullest.
A Private Family Service has taken place.
