Obituary of Vicky MacKenzie
The death of Victoria May MacKenzie “Vicky” occurred on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sus, NB. Vicky was born on May 24th, 1932 to Herbert and Gladys (O’Dell) MacDonald. She lived in Hillsdale, NB. She married John MacKenzie on December 12th, 1949. To all that knew her, Vicky was a unique caring individual and touched all the lives that knew her.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband John, she is also predeceased by her son Herbert and sister Lillian Gamblin.
She was a permanent fixture of Sus and had a hug and kiss for everyone travelling through. Vicky had trusted Jesus Christ as her Saviour. She loved to knit and her hands were hardly still. She also shared her love with food, such as lasagna and fresh cut fries for her son.
Vicky always said, “Do what’s right and do what’s good. Be kind and help others. The world can always use one more kind person.” Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 “And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
