Passed away at Ottawa, Ontario on Sunday, February 10, 2019. Survived by his nieces Mary Ellen Perry (Keith) of North Saanich, B.C.; Martha Brousseau (David) of Winnipeg, MB; Elizabeth MacKelvie of Menasha, Wiscousin; his nephews, James MacKelvie (Jean) of Beaumont, AB; Charles MacKelvie (Susan) of Park Ridge, Illinois; six grandnieces and two grandnephews; four great grandnephews; niece-in-law Amy MacKelvie (John Charles) and his goddaughter, Laureen Osborne (Rick Gumbs) of Ottawa. Predeceased by his parents, Charles W. L. and Josephine MacKelvie; his brothers and sisters-in-law Hibbard and Mary; George and Margaret; James; George and Margaret; and his nephew, John Charles (Jake) MacKelvie (Amy). At Vernon’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Vernon will be cremated and his ashes will be buried with his parents in Elmwood Cemetery, Winnipeg, MB. For those wishing, donations to the charity of your choice will be appreciated.
