Obituary of Simon Dykstra
Suddenly, on Monday, February 18th, 2019; Simon Dykstra of Strathroy at the age of 87 left us to be with his Heavenly Father. Simon is predeceased by his loving wife Clara (2016). Survived by his children Barry (Dodie) Dykstra of Strathroy, Karen (Denis) Killoran of Tillsonburg and Calvin (Jeanette) Dykstra of Strathroy. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jessica, Kerri-Lyn, Richard (Laura), Gabrielle and Benjamin. Cherished great grandfather to Hope, Faith, Mya and Cooper. Simon is also survived by his sister Baukja Kuikman of Barrie, his brother Reitze Dykstra in Heemskerk, The Netherlands and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Tueny (Wieger, 2015) VanderHeide, Sybren and Ina Slegers and Dinand and Mary De Vries.
Visitation will be held at the East Christian Reformed Church, 476 Metcalfe St E, Strathroy; on Thursday, February 21st, 2019 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will also take place at East Christian Reformed Church on Friday, February 22nd at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Derek Bouma officiating.
