GAUDET, William “Billy” – Age 81, of Meteghan Centre, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at home. Born in Saulnierville Station, he was a son of the late René and Aimée (Doucet) Gaudet. Billy enjoyed nature. Many knew him as a teacher at ESDC where he taught for 27 years. He also served as municipal councilor and helped people in the community file their income tax returns. He is survived by his wife, Arlene; children, Réjeanne (Leonard) Gaudet, Roland (Kim), Gaetan (Stephanie), Lower Sackville; brothers, Hubert (Marie), Kenneth (Jacqueline); sister, Renette (Ted); grandchildren, Lise-Anne, Janik, Régis, Luc, Nick; Great-grandson, William; also nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Thursday, February 28, at 11am in Stella Maris Church, Meteghan, Rev. Wieslaw Papuga officiating. Burial will follow in parish cemetery. Donations may be made to Prostate Cancer Canada or to the VON.
