Mrs. Nancy Horne
Nancy Lee (Heyninck) Horne passed away peacefully on February 21st, 2019 at Chatham-Kent Hospice. Nancy was married to and cherished by her husband Walter for 54 years. She was a proud and loving mother to Tammy and Denny Bettencourt, Beth and Doug Cummings, Lori and Kirk Ripley, and Tara and Dwayne Cyr. She was born on July 18th, 1943, to Ramie and Gloria (Moynihan) Heyninck. She was beloved by her 10 grandchildren, Nicole, Kristen, Bradley, Matthew, Cameron, Tyler, Jamie, Jonathon, Eric, and Tess, and by her 2 precious great grandchildren, Carl and Ava. She was a dear friend and special niece to Carol Weaver. She was a loving sister to Alan (deceased) and Linda Heyninck, Tom Heyninck (deceased), Jim and Vicky Heyninck and Ted Heyninck and sister-in-law to Sr Mary Horne (deceased), Joseph Horne (deceased), James (deceased) and Janet Horne, Wilbert and Mary Jean Horne, Robert and Theresa Horne. Nancy spent many years caring for others with an open home, warm heart, and listening ear. Nancy and Walt enjoyed many trips over the years travelling as far as Prince George, BC and California. In recent years, Nancy enjoyed many weekends camping with the Golden Horseshoes. Nancy’s girls were her pride and joy and her love for her family was deep and never ending. Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Monday February 25th, 2019 with visiting from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 145 Victoria Ave., Chatham, on Tuesday February 26th, 2019 at 10 am Father Don Pumputis celebrant. Interment St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Chatham. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or The Dialysis Unit of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
