Milton Anthony Cooligan
Peacefully at home on Sunday, February 10th, 2019 in his 90th year. He will be profoundly missed by his cherished wife of 64 years, Dorothy Cooligan (nee Campbell), and his loving children David (Rose) and Kathy (Jim). He leaves behind the lights of his life, his cherished grandchildren, Jade, Jasmyn and Jordan, and is now reunited with his grandson, Justin Milton. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Maureen (late Frank), Betty (Mike), Desmond (Shirley) and Neil (Irene); his sister-in-law Joan Payne (Jimmy). Predeceased by his parents Michael and Eileen Cooligan (nee Sheridan), as well as by his brothers Ralph (late Carmen), Garry (Rachel), Victor (late Marilyn); his mother-in-law, Joy Campbell and his sister-in-law, Margaret Beattie. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
His pride in and devotion to all members of his family was immeasurable. A true gentleman, he lived an honourable life, exemplified by his dedication, patience, gentleness, strength and wisdom.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, 613-692-1211, on Thursday, February 14th from 4 – 8 p.m. and on Friday, February 15th from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Liturgy in the chapel at 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Justin Milton Cooligan Pang Endowment Fund at CHEO would be appreciated by the family.
