MARIE ALICE HARRISON
1956-2019
Marie Alice (Daigle) Harrison left
her beloved family and friends on February 23, 2019 after a brave
battle with cancer at the age of 62.
She will be dearly missed
by loving husband and friend A.F. “Ted”
Harrison, daughter Lisa (Nelson, B.C.) and son Michael (Ottawa,
Ontario); by her loving brother Claude (Murielle) Daigle, and sisters
Emma (Sonny) MacPhee, Jeanne (Rhéal) Melanson, and Doris
(Bob Hawkins) Daigle; sisters-in-law and
brothers-in-law, special nieces and nephews, grandnieces and
grandnephews, cousins, uncles and aunts.
She is predeceased by her father and
mother, Joseph and Marie (Maillet) Daigle, and her brother
Eddy.
Born in Aldouane, she grew up in
Lakeburn where she married the love of her life. She and Ted moved to
Toronto to work and returned here to raise their family. She
worked for Assomption Vie until her recent retirement where she made
lifelong friendships. As a very central part of her life,
she was a longtime member of the Moncton Outdoor Enthusiasts, creating
many cherished friendships.
She was a wonderful and caring
mother. Lisa and Michael are her pride and joy and she loved them
selflessly.
Alice was passionate about the great
outdoors. She loved swimming, camping and challenging long
hikes in the woods – rain, snow or shine. When she
wasn’t hiking, you might find her reading on a swing
outside, or digging clams at low tide in Aldouane, a place she loved
and where she spent summers. Visiting with family brought her
joy. Playing cards with her sisters brought much
laughter. She loved visiting with her aunts and uncles.
She was a giving and easy going person –
she would say that she “goes with the
flow”. All who knew her will remember her friendly
open nature, always welcoming to friends and strangers
alike.
Visitation will be held from the
Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on
Thursday, February 28th, 2019 from 1 to 3 pm,
followed by a Celebration of Life and Reception.
Donations to the Canadian
Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
Immediate family extend heartfelt
thanks to all who loved Alice and supported her during this
time.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de MARIE ALICE HARRISON 19562019..
