MATKOWSKI, Maria “Mary” – Passed away peacefully at Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday, February 5th, 2019 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Walter Matkowski (2008). Loving mother to son John Matkowski and daughter Irene Matkowski. Mary is remembered by her brother Kazik Suchecki along with several nieces, nephews and cousins in Poland. Mary worked for over 30 years at Firestone Textiles in Woodstock where she was known for her great work ethic. Mary loved flowers, gardening and she loved her pets. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Friday, February 8th, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm with prayers from Father Jude Ogbenna at 7pm at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) where the service will be officiated by Father Jude Ogbenna in our chapel on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 at 11am. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home.
