Mahala “Josephine” Kilburn
1928-2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of M.
Josephine «Jo» Kilburn (nee Keith) on Friday, February 15,
2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was
born on May 24, 1928 in Forks Stream, NB to the late Judson and Rosa
(Kierstead) and was the wife of the late Irving A.
Kilburn.
Jo and Irving resided in Maugerville for 32 years until
moving back to Lower Kingsclear in 1989, then moving to Governor Hall,
Shannex.
She will be missed by her son, Keith and her daughter-in-law,
Paula, both of Fredericton, NB; grandsons, Matthew (Rhonda) Kilburn of
Hanwell, NB and Corey (Jamie) Webb of Hanwell, NB; great
grandchildren, Lauren and Nicholas Kilburn of Hanwell, NB; sister,
Doris MacLeod of Harewood, NB as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her husband she is predeceased by her daughter,
Lorraine Gay; granddaughters, Trisha Dawn Webb and Erin Leigh
(Kilburn) Kennedy and her brothers, Angus, Arthur, Addison and
Ainsley.
There will be no visitation or service at this
time. A private graveside service will be held at a later
date in the Kingsclear Kilburn Community Cemetery. For those
who wish, memorial tributes in Jo’s honor may be made to the
NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or to a
charity of the donor’s choice.
