It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence (Larry) Finnbogason, on February 6th 2019, at the age of 81. Larry was born in Winnipeg Manitoba March 28, 1937, to parents Carl & Maria Finnbogason. Larry was the youngest of four children (Carl, Elsie, Irene). Predeceased by his wife Lorraine (2006), who he married June 10th, 1960. In the marriage they had two sons Dan (Brenda) and Don (Shelly), two grandchildren Ryan (Jessica), Alana (Courtney) and great grand son Keenan.
Larry started his career as a shipper receiver with Gardner-Denver, which then went to the distributer GM Philpott. GM Philpott was then bought by Finning Tractor, in which Larry’s career spanned 43 years. In Larry’s final years with Finning he held the position of Division Manager of the Air Products at the Great Northern Way location. Larry enjoyed golfing two or three times a week, with his good friends at Swan-e-Set golf course after his career. He also had a great fondness for his dogs, which he enjoyed walking daily.
