Obituary of Keith Trimper
TRIMPER, Keith A. – Age 77, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 after a lengthy illness. He was a son of the late Denton and Lulu (Robar) Trimper.
Keith was a graduate of Annapolis Royal Regional Academy 1961, Nova Scotia’s Teachers’ College 1962 and Acadia University in 1979. Taught school for 32 years of which the last 30 years were at New Germany Rural High School, retired in 1994. While living in New Germany, Keith organized the New Germany and Area Arts and Crafts Association and the Rosedale Senior Citizens Club. Keith was also an active member of Hillcrest Masonic Lodge #93, A.F. & A.M., New Germany; the Nova Scotia Teachers Union and deeply involved in the Anglican Parish of New Germany. He was a seventeen year participant in the Parish Players theatre group. He served three terms on the board of Lunenburg County Home Support Services and ten years on the board for Family and Children Services of Lunenburg County. He was a former member of the Retired Teacher’s Association of Nova Scotia. Keith was a student of genealogy and did much research on the Trimper family tree and chaired three of their reunions. Other interest included bowling, a challenging game of bridge, travelling and those quiet times with nature at the cottage.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanne Margaret (Longard) Trimper; daughter, Christina (Ted Croft), Hebbs Cross; son, Timothy, Bridgewater; sister, Lillis Peck, Bear River; several nieces and nephews.
By personal request, there will be no visitation or service.
