Obituary of Janet Vance
Born in New Glasgow to the late Alvin and Christina (Reekie) MacKay.
Foxbrook was always home, she had recently retired from Sobeys after 32 years serviced.
Family and friends were the most import part of her life, would do anything for anyone,
Janet will be dearly missed by her husband Richard; daughter Shauna Maxwell (Jay Nauss); son Michael; granddaughters Kayla Maxwell(Mike Pottie); Madison Maxwell-Nauss and great grandson Jackson Pottie.
She is also survived by brothers Alvin MacKay(Claudia); John Saunders (Alice); William Saunders (Alva); sisters Eileen Turner; Evva Melvin (Ivan); sisters- in law Debbie MacKay; Tena Darroch (Jack); Donna Ehler (Doug) and Connie Murdoch (Brent) and brother in law John Vance (Ann Louise). As well as life long friends who were there with support and encouragement, Donna Canning, Cindy Thompson and Edith Grant .
Janet was predeceased by her brothers Charles, George and David MacKay and great grandson John Maxwell-Pottie.
The family thank all the incredible people who reached out with their help and engorgement, there are so many Dr, MacLean, Dr Craig, Dr, AJ, and nurses Alice, Kelsey, Chesley and Rosemary who always managed to give me a laugh making these last few months comforting.
Family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held at 1 o’clock Wednesday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating.
