YARDY, James Allen
Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Friday, February 1, 2019 in his 81st year, James Yardy, beloved husband of the late Darlene Yardy (2017). Loving father of Jim Yardy Jr. (Denise Kitchen), Jeff Yardy (Sheila Biro) and the late Scott Yardy (2009). Dear father-in-law of Brenda Robson. Dear brother of Tom Yardy (Lorraine) and predeceased by Daisy Yeo, Ken and Bill Yardy. Much loved grandfather of Andrew, Ryan, Alexander, Olivia and Rachel. Jim loved spending time at his cottage; was a member of Probus and former member of the Kiwanis and the Brantford Golf and Country Club. Jim during his younger days was a tried and true hockey dad; was a retired employee of Rogers, where he worked over 30 years. Family and friends will be received at the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A private family service will take place following the visitation. Cremation will follow. If wished, memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Diabetes Association gratefully appreciated.
