Peacefully in London, Ontario on February 8th, 2019 in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her loved friend, Ron Armstrong. Dear Mother of Judy Grela (Brian Howse), Grace Gushie (Michael), loving grandmother to Alexandra and Aaron Gushie. Dear sister to Jim, Julie, Annie and Pearl. Predeceased by her parents, Annie and Walter Astoforoff, her son Grant, known affectionately as Tim, and her siblings: Florence, Marie, and John. Nellie’s early beginnings were in Saskatchewan and later moved to the Toronto area. Upon marriage, she began and raised her family on a farm outside of Woodstock. During this time, she also worked at Harvey Woods Textiles, until early retirement. She loved to dance and was an avid fan of country music. She and Ron would enjoy many a fun evening at the Legion. Cremation has already occurred. Special thanks go out to the PSW’s, Nurses, Dr. Lo and Dietary staff at Chelsey Park Nursing Home.
